I dont know why, and frankly I dont care. It stirs up so many emotions.

It reminds me of the childrens book, "The Giving Tree" I dont know if youve read it, but thats about the same feel as this.

what kind of feelings/emotions do you mean?

Basically its this tree that this boy grows up with and it gives it everything it has, just because it wants to see the boy be happy. It eventually gets cut down by the boy who at this point is a man because the man wants to build a house, and then at the end the tree is sad because it has nothing left to give, but the man is old at that point. The man however just wants rest and sits on the stump and gives the tree great joy because throughout both of their lives they could enjoy the company of each other.

Basically its the wanting to serve through undying love. Devotion I suppose. But not in a bad way as some people construe it.
